Paint & Pigments

I love to paint.  Dolls make the perfect canvas!  I like to use a variety of paints and mediums, depending on the type of doll I’m making.  Paint is quite literally my heart’s content.   Here is a list of my favorites:

  • Golden liquid acrylic paint
  • Liquitex gouache
  • Jacquard textile paints
  • Sennelier l’Aquarelle watercolor (or any artist quality watercolor)
  • Caran D’ache Neocolor crayons (yes, they are like a dreamy watercolor paint!

  • Jacquard Pearl-Ex pigment powder (or other pigmented mica powder)
  • Jacquard dyes for fabric and mohair
  • Tsukineiko ink (or any other good quality ink)

Mediums & Adhesives

  • Golden satin polymer varnish
  • Golden regular gel matte
  • Liquitex fabric medium
  • Liquitex modeling paste
  • Krylon brush-on matte varnish
  •  Krylon fixative spray
  •  Diamond Crystal Glaze
  •  Aileen’s fabric glue – for working with clay over cloth faces
